Member of the Year Award

What it takes to obtain the Member of the Year Award

In GMPRG, the Member of the Year Award is the greatest honor a member can receive. This award is the most difficult to obtain. To be considered for this award, you have to be involved in every aspect that GMPRG is. This includes investigations, review, Volunteering, and other activities GMPRG takes a part of.

The Member of the Year is chosen by the Leader of the group, D.W. His decision is based on several areas. The first area would be investigations. Not only how many investigations that particular person has gone on, but also how many investigations that person has been available for. Just because that person wasn't on an investigation, doesn't mean they could not go. It might have been the decision of the group for that person not to be a part of the investigation.

The second area would be review. Review is a very important part of our group, it's the second "half" of the investigation. How much a person helps with the review portion of an investigation says a lot about that person. Not only does a member have to review the evidence, it's also about the quality of the review. If a person reviews a disc, but does a poor job, that person is going to be talked to. A member of the year reviews any evidence is brought his/her way. Not only do they review it, they take the time to review it correctly. This is key for the Member of the year award.

Volunteering is a huge part of what GMPRG is. Therefor, a member has to be involved in whatever volunteer activity GMPRG is a part of. Because Volunteering is a large part of what we do, You have to go above and beyond for those who cannot help themselves.

Basically, the Member of the Year for GMPRG has done everything that they could for the group. They've gone above and beyond everything that has been asked of them, and even takes it upon themselves to go above and beyond for things they weren't asked to do. Everything they do, and say has an effect on the group, and they have represented GMPRG to the best of their ability. The ideas they have, the review they do, the volunteering they do, and the all around person that they are makes them GMPRG's Member of the Year.
